The church is an important resource, especially for many new immigrants. It is a place where individuals from many parts of the world can come together to be leaders in the development of their community of faith, worshiping in their first language and celebrating traditions that are rooted in their homelands.
Trinity Parish builds bridges that connect parishioners with the larger community in and around Wilmington. A grant from the Jessie Ball duPont Fund (www.dupontfund.org), allows Trinity Parish to help support our Latino and bilingual congregation and to support the "bridge building" work of the church.
In addition, Trinity Parish is a place where people from different backgrounds can come together to examine how public policies affect the fundamental dignity of those among us. We teach each other through relationships, and together we learn how to advocate for just policies that will make our community stronger.
