Christian Education

Nursery

Staffed by trained caregivers, the nursery provides a warm, caring environment for infants and toddlers during Sunday worship services and during special events.

Ages:    Birth through 4 years old

On Sunday mornings, the Nursery is available at Old Swedes Church at 9:30am, Trinity Church at 10:30am and Noon.

Living the Good News

Our Sunday morning program for children at Trinity Parish is the Living the Good News curriculum.  This curriculum is lectionary based, allowing all generations of Trinity Parish to listen and learn about the same things on Sunday mornings. Join us on Sunday mornings as we live the good news - bridging our everyday stories with the timeless stories of our Christian faith-a celebration of God's unending love and grace!

*more information on our curriculum can be found at livingthegoodnews.com or morehouseeducation.org

Additional Ways Children Serve and Play at Trinity Parish

Worship Assistants - Beginning in 5th grade, children may participate in the services as acolytes. Many of our youth serve in the church each Sunday. Training is provided throughout the year. For questions about becoming an acolyte, contact the Rector, Patricia Downing, at patricia@trinityparishde.org.

Christmas Pageant -The annual Christmas Pageant is a wonderful opportunity for your child to participate in the miracle of Christmas! Children of all ages are invited to participate in our Christmas Pageant. Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings during Advent after the 10:30 service at Trinity including our big dress rehearsals the night before Christmas Eve when our pageant is held. Keep your eye out for schedules and sign-ups in November 2011.

Sunday School Outings - It may be a trip to the Children's Museum, Dutch Wonderland, or Bowlerama...whatever we do, it's fun to spend time together outside of Sunday School and get to know each other better. For a full schedule of events or to submit an outing suggestion, contact the Parish Office at office@trinityparishde.org or 302.652.8605.

Parish Wide Outings and Events-You won't want to miss out on fun for the whole family when Trinity Parish goes to a Blue Rocks game at Frawley Stadium, tubes the Brandywine, or hosts a delicious Pancake Supper. Friends always welcome!  Watch this space or read about what's gooing on in our Sunday Service Bulletins or Connections.

Adult Education

We offer continuing education programs for adults in both the Fall and Spring.  Our most recent series, "Planning for your own Easter," dealt with end of life issues that face us all.  In addition we occassionally hold book studies or take trips.  Recently, we went to the Philadelphia Museum of Art to see the exhibit "Rembrandt-The Face of Jesus," after which we held a cookout at Trinity Church and a discussion about the exhibit.  For information of upcoming events for adults, please check out the most recent issue of Connections or the church calendar.
